20160108_123445A great day out with Carie Broadbent in challenging conditions! The snow never stopped falling & with temperatures hovering around 0°C even at 2000m it was a hard slog breaking trail in often thigh deep snow. Around 4 hours passed to gain our 770m of ascent but our toils were rewarded with some breathtaking glimpses of the white cloaked wilds of Val Vertosan.

After savoring our solitude, being the only people who ventured above Col de Bard all day we descended in good spirits, happy to have made the most of the day, & looking forward to enjoying the track we had put in the next time the weather lifts 🙂
